Fireworks at 1.45 am Sunday 5 August

Did anyone hear the fireworks in Reepham (wedding at Booton?) at 1.45 am this morning (Sunday 5 August) or know whose they were?

It is against the law for anyone to set off fireworks between 11 pm and 7 am, except on certain occasions (such as Bonfire Night, when the cut off is 12 midnight, and New Year’s Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year, when the cut off is 1 am).

Call 101 to give any information to the police.

Meeting to establish Reepham Lions Club

An informal meeting to establish Reepham Lions Club will be held at 7.30 pm on Tuesday 14 August in the King’s Arms, Market Place, Reepham.

The club is being instigated by Barry Howes, founder of Reepham & District Rotary Club, and Andrew Hadley, who was a member of the Rotary club for several years.

Both decided that Reepham and the surrounding district would benefit, as many towns across the UK have, from having a second, alternative service club to help meet the needs of the local community.
