Football club to hold night at the races

Reepham Town FC’s Race Night on Saturday 10 March promises to be a fun night for all the family.
 
The event will be held from 7 pm at Stimpson’s Piece Pavilion, Bartle Court, Reepham, with the first race starting at 7.30 pm prompt.
 
Early bird are tickets £3 or on the door £3.50; children free. Tickets are available from all committee members and Marcus and Maureen Wilkinson 01603 879559 (evenings).
 

Arrest made following Foulsham ‘crime wave’

A man has been arrested following a series of crimes committed in Foulsham last week.
 
Four burglaries, three attempted vehicle thefts and a theft from a motor vehicle occurred on Guist Road overnight on Tuesday 6 February.
 
An attempted burglary also occurred on Hindolveston Road and a further vehicle theft on Station Road.
 
The man, aged in his 20s and from the Norwich area, was arrested in connection with the incidents.
 
Police said he has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
 

Free resuscitation training

A free resuscitation training session will be held at 10.15 am on Saturday 21 April at Hall for All, Weston Longville.
 
The session will last around two hours and will be led by a resuscitation training specialist. It will include information on first aid awareness, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use of a public access defibrillator.
 
This free event is open to all and will include refreshments.
 

Spring concert commemorates end of WWI

The Iceni Choir’s spring concert, A Tribute To Service, will be held at 7.30 pm on Saturday 21 April in St Mary’s, Reepham.
 
Directed by James Lilwall, the concert commemorates 100 years since the end of the First World War and the men and women who served their country.
 
Music and readings with Benjamin Britten’s God Save The Queen to celebrate Her Majesty’s birthday.
 

Brandiston church closed after theft attempt

St Nicholas’ in Brandiston will remain locked until the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) can assess and repair damage after thieves struck during the early hours of Thursday 8 February.
 

 
The church was reportedly entered by two suspects who were unsuccessful in their attempt to remove the wall safe from near the door. A light coloured hatchback is believed to have been involved.
 

Cricket club quiz night

Reepham & Salle Cricket Club is holding a quiz night on Saturday 3 March at Stimpson’s Piece Pavilion. Prompt start at 7.30 pm, teams of up to six people.
 
Tickets cost £10 to include food. There will also be a bar and raffle. Tickets can be bought from Reepham Home Hardware and the King’s Arms.
