Marriott’s Way 10k to again finish in Reepham’s Market Place

The 2014 Marriott’s Way 10k race starting at 11 am on Sunday 12 October will be the sixth time this race has been held and promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The 10-km race along the Marriott’s Way between Aylsham and Reepham is mainly off-road and predominantly flat, which makes it ideal for beginners and the more experienced runners alike.

The race limit has increased again this year with 3 waves of runners taking part at 11 am, 11.10 am and 11.20 am, offering more people the chance to take part than ever before. The race attracts runners from Norfolk and further afield due to its increasing popularity.

The race will again finish in the picturesque Reepham Market Place, where spectators are encouraged to cheer the runners over the finish line. Several of the town’s shops and eateries will be open on the day to add to the occasion, including the King’s Arms and the Dial House, which will offer snacks and beverages.

A road closure of Ollands Road, part of Church Hill and Market Place will be in place until from 11 am – 2 pm for the safety of runners and spectators. More details can be found HERE

The race is sponsored by the Whitwell & Reepham Railway and supported by Sweatshop and D & F McCarthy.

Places are filling up fast with entries closing at midnight on Monday 6 October or when the race limit is reached.
