High school’s harvest collection helps Mid Norfolk Foodbank

Reepham High School & College held its Harvest Assembly services last week. All tutor groups from Years 7, 8 and 9 created and designed harvest boxes that each group filled with donated food items.

Jeff Arden, head of the school’s Religious Education Department, said: “It is a chance for our students to show they care about the practical needs of others. A lot of our harvest collection goes to the Mid Norfolk Foodbank based in Dereham. It does get quite competitive with tutor groups trying to make the most attractive harvest box.”

RHSC principal Mark Farrar added: “Our pupils come from a rural background and have a strong sense of community. They are keen to help those less fortunate than themselves and these collections are a fine testament to their generosity of spirit.”
