Jennifer Oswick of Cawston, who has also trained as a physical fitness and personal trainer, was diagnosed with skin cancer two years ago at the age of just 25.

After an operation to remove a melanoma, she has since been given the all-clear and is now trying to raise awareness of the disease.

Mrs Oswick, who teaches DanceFit in Salle and Cawston, is married with two boys, Alfie aged six and Charlie who is two.

To raise funds for local families affected by cancer she organised a charity pamper evening in Cawston in October and, together with her mother and several members of her dance class, was sponsored to run the 5 km Mucky Races Steeplechase (a mud racing and obstacle course) at Blackwater Farm, Great Witchingham, also in October, which raised more than £300.

Her mother Amanda Owen says: “As well as having check-ups every three months, Jennifer spends her spare time in the summer at local school fêtes handing out free suncream and UV bands to raise awareness of the dangers of skin cancer.

“Nothing stops her from helping others. Well done and thanks to everyone that has supported her.”

DanceFit classes are held at Salle village hall on Tuesday evenings and at Cawston village hall on Thursday evenings. Contact: Jennifer Oswick Physical Fitness. Tel: 07585 954009
