Iceni Choir seeks more tenors and altos

The locally-based Iceni Choir is looking for more tenors and altos to sing with the group. This year it is performing Mozart’s Requiem – if you have sung this piece and would like to repeat the experience please contact the choir.

The Iceni Choir has put together a selection of songs, poems and prose from the First World War

With a membership of around 40 men and women, the choir meets on Wednesday evenings at the Methodist Church, Station Road, Reepham, from 7.30 – 9.30 pm. It sings a variety of music from Broadway musicals to early Church, and performs summer and winter concerts incorporating all types of music.

Meanwhile, the Iceni Choir has also put together a selection of songs, poems and prose from the First World War to commemorate the huge sacrifice made by so many during the conflict. With a trench as part of the set, a small group of male singers wearing uniforms of the time, alongside accomplished soloist Jane Mack bring to life all the different emotions experienced by the soldiers in the trenches.

To see past performance photos, visit the Iceni Choir website, or contact: Jim Stebbings, concert manager 01362 693277 or Beverley Cooper, PR 01362 858185.
