Unique chance to buy redundant church pews

Following the news that St Mary’s Reepham had been awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, builders arrived today to start to repair the tower and the remaining fragment of All Saints Hackford, and to repair and attend to the floor of the north aisle of the church.

As a result, 13 small oak-ended pews from this aisle need to be disposed of by the end of September.

Each pew measures 158 cm in length x 88 cm high and has a carved “poppyhead” at each end (max. height 132 cm).

Offers in excess of £150 each to Sue Page 01603 870886 or susan@backstreet.fsworld.co.uk; pews to be taken away by buyers.

The Parochial Church Council hopes there may be some local people who would like to have such a pew in a suitable place as they are fairly small.

The money obtained from the sale of the pews will go towards the remaining sum needed to pick out the outline of All Saints in an appropriate and attractive style.
