Rushlight Gallery to close

Rushlight Gallery will be opening for the final time at the Reepham Food Festival on Sunday 28 May.

The contemporary art gallery, which commenced trading in September 2014 in a ground-floor unit of Melton House in Reepham’s Market Place, features paintings, original prints, sculpture, ceramics, pottery, textiles and artists’ books, many from local artists.

Proprietors Jules and Ernie Allen said: “We have very much enjoyed running this beautiful little shop in our home town of Reepham for nearly three years, but feel it is time to move on to new projects. We are looking forward to getting back to making artwork and spending more time with each other and our friends and family.

“We would like to send special thanks to our dear friend Trish for her time and creative input; the venture would not have been so successful or so much fun without you. Thanks also to all of our wonderful, talented artists and loyal customers who have been instrumental in the success and popularity of the gallery.”
