Interim associate priest and new rector appointed

Revd. Helen Rengert (pictured) has been appointed as interim associate priest for the Reepham and Wensum Valley Team Ministry.
 

 
Formerly curate of Thorpe Hamlet St Matthew, she was licensed for her new position by the Bishop of Lyn, Rt Revd Jonathan Meyrick, at a service in Sparham church on 14 May.

Meanwhile, her husband, Revd Keith Rengert has been appointed to the new position of team rector of the Reepham Benefice (Reepham, Salle, Wood Dalling and Thurning); priest-in-charge of the Wensum Benefice (Alderford with Attlebridge, Great Witchingham with Little Witchingham and Lenwade, Swannington, and Weston Longville with Morton-on-the-Hill); and priest-in-charge of the parishes of Bylaugh, Elsing, Lyng and Sparham, which all together comprise the proposed Reepham and Wensum Valley Team Ministry.
 
He was formerly rector of Spixworth, Crostwick and Horsham St Faith and chaplain to Norwich International Airport, and will remain chaplain to the East of England Ambulance Service and the East Anglian Air Ambulance. He will also continue to be an honorary priest vicar of Norwich Cathedral.
 
Together with their two sons, the Rengerts will move to the Rectory on Station Road, Reepham, after the Margaret and Tim Dean’s departure at the end of this month.
