New fruit and veg stall at Reepham market

A new stall has started trading at Reepham’s Wednesday morning market: Antonio’s Fruit & Veg, selling fruit, vegetables and local free-range eggs.

Formally known as Sizelands, the business was started in 1970 by Richard Charles Sizeland, trading at various market towns across Norfolk, such as East Dereham, Swaffham, Fakenham – and now Reepham.

Antonio Vecchio recently bought the business from Richard’s son, Daniel Sizeland.

Mr Vecchio had worked for Richard for many years, and when the opportunity arose to own the business he “couldn’t turn it down”.

“It is important to us to supply fresh produce, local where possible, at attractive prices,” said Mr Vecchio.

  • Reepham became a market town in 1277 when Sir John de Vaux, whose lordship of Hackford extended into the parish of Reepham, obtained a charter from Edward I for a weekly market. A local market takes place every Wednesday morning in the Market Place.
