Led by English teacher Ros Thacker and trained by Rotarians, ten finalists from the school will be chosen from years 7 to 10 to compete in a public speaking event to be held on Wednesday 27 February from 6.30–8 pm.

Introduced by two of last year’s winners, each of these ten students will speak for three minutes to an audience and judging panel in the school’s assembly hall.

Members of the local public are invited to join parents, school staff and Rotarians in the audience.

The evening will offer rewarding entertainment, according to Rotarian John Pickering: “Anyone who has doubts about the qualities of the ‘youth of today’ should come and appreciate the outstanding courage, confidence and worldly intelligence of these young people.”

Visitors should arrive at the high school reception before 6.30 pm. Interval refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Reepham High School and a programme will be available from Reepham Rotary.
