Rayzone seeks new volunteers for youth club

Around 20 young people regularly come along to the Rayzone Youth Club in Reepham on a Friday evening. There is a lively atmosphere as the members get stuck into lots of different activities, such as table tennis, board games and Xbox games.

We also often have a table activity: craft or cooking and occasionally themed evenings, and we are looking forward to a quiz and chips evening and a trip this term.

The youth club is a wonderful way for the local community to support young people in and around Reepham by providing a safe place for them to meet with their friends

It is crucial for the club that we recruit new volunteers. Several parents have kindly agreed to help us once a term. However, we would like to welcome new regular volunteers who enjoy working with young people to our youth club team to ensure we can use the two main areas in the building on a weekly basis.

Rayzone will offer support and encouragement and welcomes ideas that you can bring to the youth club. We also offer Safeguarding training through the Methodist Church and first aid training.

New volunteers would join the rota at the club, where we have a great bunch of young people.

Please do get in contact with me if you are interested in volunteering or would just like to find out a bit more about the club and what a volunteer role might be.

Please note that regular volunteers are subject to satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance for working with children and young people.
