The Reepham Society: Picnic at Salle Church

Picnic at Salle Church

The Reepham Society is hosting a picnic at Salle church from 2.30 pm this Saturday, the 2nd of August.

This is a very informal afternoon so please bring your friends and your own picnic and we will supply tea and cold drinks; we can go into the Church if it rains.  Dogs under control are fine, but please remember that they will need to be kept out of the church and the graveyard.

There is no set programme but there will be the opportunity to be shown around this magnificent and historic church by Jolyon Booth, the Church Warden.  We also very much hope it will be possible to climb to the top of the tower, so if you would like to do that it would be a good idea to bring binoculars, camera and perhaps even a compass and map to help identify the landmarks of the surrounding landscape.

There will be no charge for the afternoon but donations would, I’m sure, be greatly appreciated to help with the upkeep of this wonderful building that has stood for nearly six centuries as a towering part of the area’s history and heritage.  Information about St Peter and St Paul can be found at:

Please join us for what will be a great way of spending a sunny (fingers crossed) summer afternoon in a beautiful setting.
