The girls – Alicia Knights, Erica Walters, Josie Barker and Suki Martinez – chose Parkinson’s UK as Alicia’s father has this disease, having been diagnosed eight years ago at the age of just 38, and between them they raised £396.

The Reepham Festival committee offered to match this figure, and a cheque for £800 will be sent to the charity.

Alicia’s mother Michelle Knights added: “We want to help raise money to fund more research into finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Many family members and friends are doing the Boxing Day Dip at Cromer, also in aid of Parkinson’s UK. All donations are greatly appreciated, however big or small.”
