The Bircham Centre supports local young people

The National Citizen Service (NCS) is a way for 15-to-17-year olds living in England and Northern Ireland to make friendships, learn new skills and create great memories. The young people spend the first two weeks at residential sites doing all manor of activities from raft building to team building, followed by two weeks doing Social Action Projects in their local communities (the projects have ranged from painting fences to putting on a fashion show for charity), and to round it all up, a graduation event for them to collect their certificate and catch up with new friends.

This year we are very pleased to have a Reepham group who will be working to raise funds for a local charity; supported by both the Town Council and the Bircham Centre, the young people will be using the Bircham Centre as their base for the two weeks of social action, upcycling items for sale at the local market.

We all hope you will come and support the local young people at their stall on Wednesday 22nd July.
