Plans for convenience store on School Road garage site

A planning application has been submitted to Broadland District Council for the demolition of the redundant Reepham Motors garage/depot on School Road and the erection of a convenience store (A1 use).

The plans from Northhold Group, a Manchester-based property developer, encompass parking for six cars and first-floor staff and storage areas.

It is envisaged the trading area will have a total floor-space of 560 square metres. The applicant states that the footprint of the two-storey store will be less than that of the existing building.

With opening hours of 7 am – 11 pm, the retail unit could provide full-time employment for six people.

The planning application will be discussed at the next meeting of Reepham Town Council on Wednesday 22 November. Read MORE
