Lloyds Banking Group is investigating the possibility of offering a weekly mobile branch service to Reepham to enable customers to do their banking in the town.

The current proposal made to Reepham Town Council is to park the van in the Market Place for a time to be arranged on Thursday mornings, although there is no indication as to when this might commence.
It is likely the mobile branch could offer basic banking services and appointments with staff.
The main services provided could include: account enquiries, cash/cheque deposits (limits may apply), cash withdrawals (limits may apply), international payments and paying bills.
Other services could include: credit card activation and balance transfers, ordering foreign currency and reactivating ISAs.
It is also possible the vans could have on-board technology such as computers and tablets to allow customers to use the bank’s online services.
There are currently no Lloyds Bank mobile branches in the East of England.
Most mobile banking vans operated by a number of UK banks typically follow a set route and stop at each place for around 45 minutes to an hour, at the same time each week.
In early December, Lloyds Banking Group announced it will close 49 branches across England, Wales and Scotland next year with three of its brands affected: Halifax (six branches), Lloyds (32 branches) and Bank of Scotland (11 branches).
Reepham’s last bank closed in October 2015.
