Early-bird tickets for music festival on sale 1 February

Tickets for the Reepham18 music festival will soon be available at last year’s prices. The event will include a line-up of top international musicians, a new “Hansells” stage and a new backstage team.

For more than a decade this popular non-profit festival has provided a weekend of affordable entertainment for the community and raised thousands of pounds for local causes.

And this year promises to be more spectacular than ever with pop superstars Roachford topping the bill.

Roachford, whose recent gig at the Norwich Waterfront was a triumphant sell-out, will be heading a line-up of bands at Rookery Meadow on the weekend of 11-12 August.

Other confirmed acts include Dorset folk-punk legends Black Water County (pictured below), tribute band Mainly Madness, ethereal rockers Affairs, the indie-funk four-piece Mammal Not Fish and New York-based metal-heads Tragedy (pictured above) – their heavy rock “All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees and Beyond” has to be heard to be believed.

With more acts still to be announced, Reepham18 will be a heady mix of rock, blues, country and folk for the whole family.

As usual there will also be a full programme of more chilled-out acoustic performers appearing at St Mary’s church, and on Sunday the festival will move to Whitwell Station where the party continues.

As well as the music, there will be plenty of food and drink on offer, including entertainment for the children.

Reepham’s “music festival for everybody” has been sold out for the past six years so early booking is advised.

“Reepham18 is going to be a real landmark,” promises festival director Steve Jenkins. “In fact, the Reepham Festival has attracted such a name for itself that Tragedy contacted me from the USA because they specifically wanted to play here.

“With Roachford headlining and all the amazing musicians in between, there really will be something for everyone.”

Early-bird tickets are due to go on sale on 1 February, with the early-bird adult weekend ticket costing £25 and the child (under 16) ticket £1.

Tickets can be purchased via the Reepham18 website; Very Nice Things in Market Place, Reepham; Whitwell Station; and Soundclash Records in Norwich.

More information about ticket sales and festival camping deals will be available on the website.
