Broadland’s ‘Preferred Options’ summer consultation opens

Broadland District Council has opened its latest consultation for the public and other stakeholders on its “preferred options” in relation to sites for future development within the district.
 
The “Interim Sustainability Appraisal for Site Allocations – Preferred Options” consultation runs for nine weeks from 1 July to 2 September 2013.

 
The documents, including the Sustainability Appraisal Report and Appendices, can be downloaded at the following LINK, where comments can also be made online.
 
Full assessments of all the shortlisted sites for Reepham can be found on pages 610-640 of Appendix A, for Cawston pages 227-250, Foulsham pages 325-342, Lenwade pages 540-556, Aylsham pages 43-79 and Marsham pages 575-584.
 
Broadland District Council will hold a public exhibition of the plans on Thursday 11 July at the Town Hall, Church Street, Reepham, from 1 pm – 7 pm.
 
On the same day, local campaign group Realistic Reepham will hold an information event at St Michael’s, Reepham, from 2 pm – 8pm. This will include a public meeting and question/answer session at 6 pm. A questionnaire on the basic principles of the town’s development is also being distributed throughout Reepham.
 
The following week, Reepham Town Council will hold a special meeting to discuss the Site Allocations Preferred Options Consultation at 7.30 pm on 17 July at the Town Hall, Church Street, Reepham. (The development plans will NOT be discussed at the Town Council meeting on 10 July.)
