Crime prevention day on 23 April

The Reepham Safer Neighbourhood Team will be holding a crime prevention day from 9.30 am – 3 pm on Wednesday 23 April at Reepham Police Station.

Speak to our crime prevention officer, who can provide tips on reducing crime from fuel theft to shed break-ins and much more.

If you are over 60, privately own or rent your property (not housing association) and wish to have new door locks, a keysafe, window locks or door chains free of charge, then speak to members of our Partners against Crime Taskforce (PACT) Team.

The Norfolk Safe and Secure Scheme operates across the county and is designed to keep elderly and vulnerable people safe in their own home. A trained carpenter can fit keysafes, window and door locks, chains, viewers and kick panels, smoke alarms, etc.

The work is often undertaken free of charge if funding is available and the individual meets the criteria set by the respective funder (although it is mainly for the over 60s or vulnerable, disabled, those with learning difficulties or who are victims of domestic abuse.

Do you want your cycle marked, a valuable item postcoded or general advice on how to keep yourself safe? Problems in your village, road, school or children’s play area?

Members of the Safer Neighbourhood Team will be on hand to discuss this and any other concerns you may have.

Bring the children along – we cater for them, too. Introduce them to uniformed officers and let us answer those questions that you can’t.
