PROMISED LAND (15) – Here we have the big corporation going head to head to a local run down community over mineral rights issue for sourcing gas. We know it a FRACKING. So what is it to be? Bringing in money to a poverty stricken area or saving the traditional rural Pennsylvanian culture?
Does this portray fracking in a good light? The industry says not but for those who don’t know much about it, this film could be the start of a discussion and maybe a bit of Goggle searching will give the other side of the story.
Matt Damon is always a great watch and Francis McDormmand is very experienced in a variety of role, I love her in comedies.
