Police were called to a house in Station Road, Reepham, at about 3 pm on Thursday 14 November following concerns for the safety of a 42-year-old woman.
The woman, who was in a distressed state, had locked herself inside a property.
A number of police resources, including trained negotiators and firearms officers, attended the incident, which was safely resolved at 5.55 pm.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre, where she remains in custody.
The wider public were not at risk during the incident, according to a Norfolk Police spokesperson.
