Local brewers raise money for Norfolk charity

Martin James of Reepham’s Panther Brewery and Dave Cornell of Poppyland Brewery in Cromer brewed Kett’s Oak, a 6% barley wine style, for the Norwich City of Ale event in May 2019.

Cheque for £1,854 being handed over to Pat Brickley of Norfolk SEN Network by Martin James on behalf of Panther Brewery and Poppyland Brewery.

The beer was sold as draught to Norfolk pubs and also in 1,000 special edition bottles to retailers; both breweries sold the remaining bottles to their customers throughout last year.

As a result, the brewers raised £1,854 from the proceeds of these sales, which was donated to Norfolk SEN Network.

This Norwich-based charity supports parents of children (0–16 years) and young people (16–25 years) with special educational needs to find the right educational placement or provision to meet their needs.
