Line-up announced for Platinum Jubilee celebrations

The organisers of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend in Reepham have announced the timings and details for the events taking place in the town.

From 3 pm on Saturday 4 June there will be overnight camping for families at Stimpson’s Piece, Bartle Court, Reepham. The cost is £10 per pitch – book with the town clerk on 01603 873355 or email.
 
Also on Saturday, family entertainment will be provided by Funforce at Stimpson’s Piece from 6–9 pm.
 
Sunday 5 June will start with the Decades Parade that celebrates each decade of the Queen’s reign. Residents and visitors can dress in clothes of their choice to represent any decade from the 1950s to the 2020s and join the parade, which will leave Stimpson’s Piece at 10 am and proceed to the Market Place via Coles Way and Ollands Road.
 
This will be followed at 11 am by a Jubilee Celebration Service in the Market Place, and from 2 pm onwards there will be a Picnic in the Park at Stimpson’s Piece, with family entertainment again provided by Funforce.
 
The Big Jubilee Street Party will take place in the Market Place from 3 pm onwards, featuring a traditional afternoon tea with musical entertainment. The cost is just £2 per person with tickets available from the Bircham Centre (open most days) or the town hall (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays).
