Reepham & District Rotary Club has supported the Aquabox charity for many years. In any disaster one of the first needs is clean drinking water to prevent disease spreading. Water treatment boxes with filters and chemicals are also filled with other necessities for a displaced family. Boxes are stored ready for immediate response.

The benefit of having Rotary clubs all over the world is that money and goods can be sent to people that are known and trusted.

A route into Myanmar has been secured via Thailand to send 900 family filters and 20 community filters, which is enough to provide clean, safe drinking water for 18,000 people.

Reepham Rotary’s efforts are supported by a 100 Club that offers monthly prizes to ticket holders. All funds go to Aquabox, which is run entirely by volunteers.

Currently, more than 100 members, families and friends support the 100 Club. Each draw ticket costs £2. Four winning tickets are drawn each month with a rollover bonus to one lucky winner at the end of the year. To join, contact organiser Paul Smith by email.
