Community co-working space launched in Reepham

For anyone looking for somewhere to work, outside of the house, but don’t fancy trekking to the city or making a coffee last three hours in a local café, a new co-working space is now available in Reepham.

Called “Birch”, this community resource has been set up by a partnership comprising Sara Cubitt of Wildflower Digital, Laura Garcka of Pen and Mouse Design and Sam James of Sam James Coaching.

Co-working spaces are becoming more popular, but tend to be in the larger towns and cities. The partners believe the rural community of Norfolk can benefit from having an accessible space to work – that isn’t a kitchen table or a café.

Located upstairs in the Bircham Centre, Market Place, Reepham, Birch comprises an office with six desk spaces and fast WiFi. Space can be booked for either a half-day (9 am – 1 pm/1 pm – 5 pm) for £7.50 or a full day (9 am – 5 pm) for £15.

Desks can be booked online, either on a pay-as-you-go basis or via monthly membership options; tea, coffee and other refreshments are included in the price.

Birch provides members of the community with a space in which to work, in the company of others, whether self-employed individuals, people who work remotely or mature students.

The community work haven offers a comfortable space, helping to combat the feelings of loneliness that can sometimes arise when working from home for long periods of time.

The office space will be open for people to come and have a look and find out more from 9.15 am – 12 noon on Wednesday 4 March, Wednesday 18 March and Wednesday 25 March.
