Attempted theft of remaining cashpoint

Reepham’s only remaining cash machine has been left out of service after being smashed by a group of thieves, who tried to steal money from inside it.

The incident happened outside the Spar store on Ollands Road at around 1 am on Monday 16 March, it is reported.

This is the third time in eight years that an ATM has been targeted in Reepham.

In May 2012, a raid was carried out at the HSBC bank, which is now closed, with the theft of the cash machine.

In April 2018, thieves used a teleporter to steal the cashpoint from the side of the post office/Johnsons, also in Market Place.
