Popular summer music festival goes virtual

Following the announcement that this year’s Reepham Music Festival will not take place this summer, the organisers have decided to put on a free virtual event.

Calls were made to acts from past and present music festivals, who quickly came on board to support the online event and take part.

The plan is to stream the virtual festival on the evening of Saturday 8 August, which will feature “live” living room sets, special pre-recorded sets and band videos, as well as band “shout outs” and interviews, and features from past festivals.

The evening will be hosted by Rock ‘n’ Roll Andy, a singer/songwriter and guitarist from Peterborough, and Norwich-based beatbox singer and songwriter Differential.

Acts already on board include Bad Touch, Buster James, Izengard, Jeramiah Ferrari, Maisie May, Mammal not Fish, Revival and Tragedy (all the way from New York), with more still to be confirmed.

More details will be announced soon.
