A Reepham-based company has become a government-approved private provider of all types of Covid-19 testing to companies and individuals for travel and general testing and is now listed on the UK government website.
To achieve this approved status, Proviris Solutions had to undergo a three-stage UKAS accreditation process and meet two ISO standards.
Proviris chief executive officer Berenice Williams said: “Achieving UKAS accreditation is a testimony to our medical and operational teams who ensure our processes and products are regularly reviewed by independent third parties.
“We have done exceptionally well in all these reviews and will continue to uphold these high standards.”
Proviris Solutions provides international travel tests, including:
- remote pre-departure fit-to-fly test certificates to destinations accepting lateral flow antigen tests;
- PCR at-home self-swab test kits for fit-to-fly certificates;
- pre-departure remote lateral flow antigen tests before starting to travel to the UK; and
- day 2 and day 8 test-to-release for UK arrivals from countries not on the red list.
For those wishing to travel to the European Union there is some positive developments regarding testing.
The EU has approved the Covid-19 rapid antigen test used by Proviris Solutions as it carries the CE marking, meets the minimum performance requirement and been validated by EU Member States as being appropriate for their use in the context of Covid-19.
Several EU countries are currently accepting antigen travel tests including France, Greece, Romania and Germany.
However, the list is ever-changing so ensure you visit the UK government’s foreign travel advice website before travelling abroad to get the latest information.
