Residents are being asked to put forward proposals for improving open spaces and play areas in Reepham.

Broadland District Council has advised Reepham Town Council that there is a sum of £22,444 available for projects in the parish of Reepham, which represents Section 106 (S106) monies arising from the Abbs Garage development on School Road.
An S106 agreement is between an applicant seeking planning permission and the local planning authority, which is used to mitigate the impact of a new development on the local infrastructure and community.
Monies from an S106 agreement can be used to contribute towards providing community and social infrastructure and should be spent according to Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, as amended.
Suitable projects for open spaces typically cover sports and play areas or allotments.
However, the district council will need to give approval when one or more projects are identified.
Last week’s town council meeting discussed several possible projects at Stimpson’s Piece, the town’s recreation area, including installing new basketball courts on the site of the former tennis courts and renewing the existing skateboard park, both of which could amount to several tens of thousands of pounds.
