Music festival makes donation to young people’s charity

The organisers of RFestival 25, Reepham’s summer music festival, have donated £550 to one their charity partners, Break, which raises funds to support its work to make life better for young people on the edge of care, in care and leaving care.

The money was presented to Peter Marron, Break’s senior partnerships and projects manager, who visited Reepham just before the GoGoSafari sculpture, Prince the Lion, was due to be taken away at the end of the GoGoSafari Trail.

The cheque was handed over by Ben Pitcher of Norfolk Print & Design and Brenda Gostling, members of the volunteer team who run the Reepham Festival. This was Break’s share of the proceeds of the raffle to win a guitar, which took place on the day of the annual music event.

RFestival 25’s other charity partner this year is the Black Dog Music Project, which helps those who suffer challenges to their mental health to participate and rediscover their love and skills for music.
