Classic car festival again delights enthusiasts

The weather held off for the Reepham Classic Car Festival on Sunday 28 September and, despite the non-appearance of the 1902 Type 49 Peugeot veteran car, those that did attend ensured the public had a fascinating variety of cars to view for the day.

The organisers thanked everyone who helped to again make this year’s festival a success, particularly Reepham & District Rotary Club and the Bircham Centre for their assistance, and the East Anglian Air Ambulance charity, which collected £812 on the day.

“We apologise for the inconvenience and are grateful to those residents who did remove their vehicles from the Market Place for the day as it is what makes the Reepham Classic Car Festival one of the most popular classic car events in Norfolk – let’s keep it that way,” said Hugh Ivins (pictured, far left), one of the event organisers.

This year two prizes were awarded, the first by Quote Four Insurance Brokers for a year’s cover to Kim Taylor (pictured, second left) for his Sunbeam Tiger and the second by the organisers for a car cleaning kit to Richard Hewitt-Jones (pictured, right) for his Citroen DS21 Pallas.
