A passion for wedding flowers

Having provided bespoke flowers for several local weddings over the past year, word is beginning to spread and bookings are already coming in for 2016 for Myrtle & Moss, a small, specialist floral design company based in Reepham that creates individual and unique designs for special events.

Emily Greves

Emily Greves has had a passion for flowers for as long as she can remember and started getting creative with flowers at the age of five by spending hours making “perfume” in her parents’ garden from crushed petals and water.

She became more interested in flowers as a career when 11 years ago she joined a local flower club, where she keenly watched demonstrators, thinking “I could do that”.

Five years ago, having completed a City & Guilds level 2 in floristry, she started to provide bouquets, sympathy tributes and wedding flowers to family and friends.

A busy few years have passed with two young children to bring up and a chance to gain lots of floristry experience.

While Ms Greves is still happy to cater for sympathy tributes, she now wants to concentrate on the aspect she enjoys the most: wedding flowers. Flowers are a key element to any wedding and she is passionate and feels privileged to be able to contribute to such a special day.

Ms Greves has a strong working team for support and is able to draw on the expertise and assistance of well-known florist and artist Sue Johnston, with husband Ben also lending a hand, being handy in providing tea and biscuits – and sweeping up.

Myrtle & Moss offers a friendly and affordable service and can work within any budget. Every customer and every venue inspires something different and the company aims to provide plenty of stunning wedding flower ideas.
