High school sets up trust to sponsor other academies

Reepham High School & College has become the latest school in Norfolk to be allowed to sponsor other academies.

Reported in the Eastern Daily Press, principal Mark Farrar said the school has been given the opportunity to become an academy sponsor with the approval of the Department for Education.

The school’s academy trust, which will be called the Synergy Trust, is in the process of being established, which should be completed shortly.

“The creation of the Synergy Trust will give local schools the opportunity to work with us in raising standards still further in our part of Norfolk,” Mr Farrar continued.

“We are particularly interested in formalising our relationships with our partner primary schools, with whom we already work very closely.”
