A working group has come together made up predominantly of representatives from the regular users of Stimpson’s Piece and the pavilion in Reepham, and members of the public.
 
Meetings have been held over the summer months with the initial objective of building a relationship with the trustee and getting an understanding of how the pavilion is currently managed.
 
The working group will be taking responsibility for a number of tasks from November that will assist in the day-to-day running. These include:

• locking the main gates at night;
• checking the pavilion both prior to and after functions;
• providing a point of contact for users during their hire of the pavilion;
• helping to source local contractors for any maintenance required;
• reporting issues raised by users to the trustee;
• assisting with bookings to get a clear picture of when the pavilion is being used.

 
The group has also started to discuss ideas around what longer term objectives might be.
