Reepham Town Council has formally recognised the contribution to the community of PCSO Stephen Bridges, who is moving to another role within the police service having worked in the Reepham district for the past 11 years.
Norfolk Constabulary is making redundant all 150 of its police community support officers by the end of this month as part of measures to make savings of £2 million a year.
At last week’s Town Council meeting, chairman Les Paterson thanked PCSO Bridges for his dedication and hard work in helping to make Reepham a safer place, presenting him with a small gift on behalf of the council and the town in appreciation of his service to the local community.
