New gate for Whitwell Common

Norfolk County Council has provided a traditional wooden field gate to be installed next to the pedestrian entrance to Whitwell Common. This is to enable the specialist cutting machinery to be brought on to the Common more easily. The original entrance is just too narrow to allow the machine from the Hawk and Owl Trust through safely. Both this machine and the one operated by Martin Plane are used to keep the paths open and preserve the habitat for the wild flowers and plants to flourish.

Theatrical performance group looking to recruit members

Several people are keen to establish an adult theatrical performance group in Reepham and wish to hear from anyone who would like to be involved in any capacity, such as performer, playwright, stagehand, lighting, costume or other support role, with or without previous experience.

One of these enthusiasts, Rowena Edwards, brings a wealth of amateur dramatics experience and (unusually) has some time available to help establish this group, which will be called the Reepham Adult Community Theatre (RE-ACT).
