Stuart Beadle, the councillor for Reepham on Broadland District Council, has stepped down as cabinet member for planning after breaking ranks over local government reorganisation, with council sources saying he was sacked from the role, it is reported.
 
Mr Beadle, a Lib Dem councillor, had called for cross-county options to be considered when drawing up new political boundaries for the region.
