Rockin’ Robins and Snowball Sprites at Festival of Light

Watch with delight as two cheeky, chirpy, red-breasted robins spread Christmas cheer with their fancy footwork and joy of jiving, while these two sparkling giant Snowball Sprites on wheels whizz speedily round and round in a flurry of excitement – thanks to Creative Arts East for providing this entertainment.

This is just part of a line-up of entertainment at this year’s Festival of Light event, which takes place on Thursday 3 December from 4.30 pm in the Market Place, Reepham.

There will be around 30 stalls in the market place, including food and a craft fair in St Michael’s. Graham Andrew of Funforce will be heading up the children’s entertainment which includes… well, you’ll just have to wait until the night to find out!

But what we can tell you is that the evening will once again start with the children’s lantern parade. Children wanting to take part should assemble in the Church at 4.45 pm ready for the parade at 5 pm.

The primary school, Messy Church and nursery school are all hoping to organise lantern making activities in the days leading up to the Festival, and any child without a lantern is welcome to bring along a torch or other light, but no candles or other naked flames please.

Santa will arrive around 5.15 pm and other entertainment includes the Dragon Hall Mummers, Cawston Band and carol singing, and Reepham High School Band.
