Winter solstice, shortest day

Enter into the experience and meaning of the winter solstice through this short, meditative video. The winter solstice is celebrated by many people all around the world and is one of the eight Celtic festivals in the year. It happens on or around 21 December when the night is longest, and the day is shortest. It signifies many things including the coming of the light.

The evergreens featured were filmed by Piers Warren in the churchyard in Reepham and the Bircham Centre garden.
