A Reepham-based home care agency has organised a raffle and sponsored walk to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Heart to Heart Home Care Agency has been operating for more than six years. Two of the agency’s clients have multiple sclerosis (MS) and, following the success of a previous fundraising event in 2020, owner Carolyn Woodrow felt it was important for the local community to raise both awareness and money for the MS Society.
MS is a neurological condition that affects the nervous system. The main symptoms include fatigue, difficulty in walking, vision problems, numbness or tingling in different parts of the body, problems with balance/co-ordination, etc.
It is a lifelong condition with more than 130,000 people in the UK having been diagnosed with MS, mostly in their 20s, 30s and 40s.
In May, Heart to Heart asked local businesses in Reepham if they could support the latest fundraiser.
The home care agency was overwhelmed with the generosity of businesses and the church that donated gift vouchers and prizes.
The prizes include:

· crochet gift from Emma’s Crochet Creations
· lifestyle photoshoot from Woodrow & Cook Photography
· one-hour pool hire voucher from Smart Swim
· £5 gift voucher from Reepham Country Market
· hamper from Revd Helen Rengert, Team Rector, Reepham and Wensum Valley Team Churches.

Meanwhile, friends, family and the team at Heart to Heart Home Care Agency will be walking the five-mile station-to-station route along Marriott’s Way on Saturday 17 September.
At 4.30pm, after the sponsored walk, the raffle will be drawn at The Crown, Ollands Road, Reepham.
Anyone who has purchased a raffle ticket or who would like to celebrate the end of the agency’s fundraiser are invited to join in.
