Town council pays tribute to Queen Elizabeth II

Reepham Town Council councillors and officers have expressed their sadness at the news of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
 

 
On behalf of the residents of Reepham and the surrounding area, the town council offered condolences to all members of the Royal Family at this sad time.
 
A statement said: “Our sadness is shared by people across the globe, as we remember with affection and gratitude the lifetime of service given by the Queen, who reigned for more than 70 years and, as such, was Great Britain and Northern Ireland’s longest-serving monarch.
 
“Her Majesty’s steadfast leadership, selfless devotion and unwavering service through good and bad were an inspiration to so many.”
 
A book of condolence is available to sign in the Bircham Centre, Market Place, Reepham; an online book of condolence can be found HERE.
 
Flowers can be left in the front garden of the Bircham Centre.
 
In light of the passing of the Queen, the next scheduled meeting of the town council, due to be held on Wednesday 14 September, has been cancelled and will be rearranged in due course.
