Broadland MP to stand down

Keith Simpson MP has announced that he will not be standing at the next general election.
 
He has served as a Conservative Member of Parliament for the Broadland constituency, which includes the Reepham district, since 2010, having previously been MP for Mid Norfolk from 1997 to 2010.
 
He had a majority of 15,816 at the 2017 general election.

Johnsons officially reopens after ram raid

A shop in Reepham has been officially reopened 16 months after it was damaged in a ram-raid.
 
A “teleporter” ripped into the front of Johnsons of Reepham in April last year, and a cash machine was removed before the stolen vehicle was set alight in the street.
 
Owing to planning regulations, it took nearly a year to start repair work on the front of the listed building in Market Place, which has remained open for business.
