Collectors needed for Poppy Appeal

The Royal British Legion, Women’s Section needs volunteers to help sell poppies in late October. We need only around two hours of your time to go around collecting for Remembrance Sunday on 10 November. In particular, we are in desperate need of one or two people for the Booton and Wood Dalling areas. Please telephone Moira Dye, who is the Poppy Appeal organiser for the area, on 01603 871791.

Late night opening planned for 30 October

Reepham’s traders are planning a late night opening on Wednesday 30 October in the run-up to Halloween. Many shops have said they will stay open at least until 8 pm. If the trial proves successful, more evening openings are planned ahead of Christmas.

The event, which is backed by the Reepham Town Team and Chamber of Commerce, will be a great opportunity for residents to show their support for the town’s businesses.

Farmers’ market for Reepham?

Kerri’s Farmhouse Pine is considering providing space at the Old Railway Station, Reepham, for a regular farmers’ food market.

The aim is to promote good quality, locally sourced produce including fruit and vegetables, bread, meat and fish, and jams and chutneys.

No decisions have been taken yet as the owners of Kerri’s are keen to know if the residents of Reepham and district would be interested in supporting a farmers’ market.
